  • How do I prepare for my student’s first class?
Our classes are conducted on Zoom. Make sure you have Zoom installed on your student’s computer before the class begins.
  • What tech device does my student need?
A laptop, Mac book, or desktop would be ideal. We recommend not using an iPad or a tablet as the learning experience on these devices is not as smooth.
  • What age students does TurtlEd work with? And what subjects do you teach?
We work mostly with students in pre-K through 8th grade. Our core program includes Math and English Liberal Arts.
  • How many students are in each class?
You can choose either 1:1 learning, or a small group. Small groups typically include 2-4 students.
  • Do you give homework or feedback to students?
We share regular feedback with school teachers and parents. Sometimes we include worksheets so students can work on additional problem sets outside of their tutoring sessions.
  • What is your rescheduling/holiday policy?
Our classes run year-round except for the following holidays. - Thanksgiving - Christmas eve – New Years’ day (Dec 24th – Jan 1st) When rescheduling is required, please give us 2 weeks’ notice so we have enough time to coordinate with our educators. Classes cannot be canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours. Sometimes we may reschedule classes or have a substitute educator when the assigned educator has a conflict or an emergency.
  • How does billing/payment work?
Once you sign up, you will be charged monthly. You can cancel anytime, and your subscription will end at the end of the month.
  • Is there a discount for siblings?
We offer a 10% discount for siblings.
  • What do you offer to schools and districts?
Our pricing/packaging is different for schools and districts. Please contact us at grow@withturtled.com with any inquiries.
  • 6. Attendance has been an issue with other programs. How do you handle this?
Our attendance rates typically range from 70% to the high 80s%. We take attendance seriously and follow up with schools immediately if students don’t show up. After all, we've found that attendance correlates strongly with student progress.
